Early Wednesday, Napa County Sheriff’s investigators issued a release stating they were looking for Bryan Klingler in connection with several robberies in Napa and around the North Bay. On Wednesday afternoon, Klingler was arrested at a Vallejo motel.

Klingler, 31, of Napa, was wanted for questioning in connection with for robberies in Napa, Vallejo, Vacaville, Fairfield and Benicia.
The California Highway Patrol, along with Napa detectives, received information on Wednesday regarding Klingler’s whereabouts. The information led investigators to the Best Western Inn in Vallejo, where Klingler was arrested without any trouble, sheriff’s Lt. Tom Commander said.

Commander said officers believe Klingler is responsible for robberies at Jamba Juice, Baskin-Robbins, Subway and Quizno’s stores in Napa, and a robbery at Country Creamery in American Canyon.
Klingler was booked into the Solano County jail, awaiting prosecution on robbery charges in that county.

It will be up to the Solano and Napa counties district attorney’s office to determine when Klingler will be returned to Napa County to face possible criminal charges here, Commander said.

" Um, this criminal fella is from Napa, but was living in Vallejo... Did I not just report that the citizens of Vallejo are sick and tired of being the dumping ground for other citizens section 8 housing and the dumping site of other cities and counties parolees? Need I say more. For those of you who thumb your nose up at Vallejo (yes there are a lot of you) how about housing your own poor and keeping your own citizens that are out on of prison and need a program. Good catch though, one less crimnal in Vallejo!!! "

" Everyone who just commented thanking police are ridiculous. You people just believe they caught the right guy because the napa register said they arrested a suspect. You people don't know if he is really the robber. That is what is wrong with this country. Everyone just wants to see somebody get blamed and suffer even if it isn't the right guy for sure. "

" Sorry but my feelings about this isn't to attack anyone but to let it be known that we will be seeing alot more of this kinda of crime if we don't get the state to come up with a better release plan for these's imates. they release these imates with $200. to go start anew life after serving how many years? with no skills no family some without places to live and to check in with there agent with in 24 hrs ask agents for help only to be told there's not enought founding in there county .the agents can only help if there is something to offer. If we
can put a program into a release program focused on there having skill
to live in the outside world. it would help not only the tax payers but the streets would be safer the agents would have smaller case loads, and the parolee with some pride and life skills .
robbery comes 2sided "

" missmarvelous, I have to say that I do agree with you although I do not live there. Vallejo was doomed from the moment they closed Mare Island, laying off thousands of workers, not even taking into account the impact on the local businesses, etc. Vallejo cannot support these people and has enough of it's own problems. I also agree strongly with 2sides, we definately need better release qualifications for prisoners. Alot that are released into society have been in and out of juvenile centers, jails, and prisons most of their lives and don't know how to be productive in society, incarceration is the only security they know. Personally, I think that every prisoner who will be eventually released and is not badly disabled, needs to be trained on work assignment, like cooking, firefighting, mechanics, making things, whatever, that helps the prison or society in general and creates income, should have a decent portion of pay put into account for them, the other part going towards their keep. That way, depending on how long they are incarcerated, they will have money purportioned to their work and time. We need to give these prisoners hope and a sense of self worth, that is what will keep them out of trouble. Also, now I might tick some people off here but I truely believe that drug addicts and alcoholics do not belong in the prison or jail system, they belong in intense rehabs. These people have very deep seeded problems and some also have the hereditary part of it. They will reoffend over and over until they have rehab, period. Why crowd our already taxed prison system with people that could be treated elsewhere? "

" Great job NPD and Napa Sheriff's!!! If this is the perp than yes the police deserve all the credit for a job well done . Now let's get the people responsible for the horrible car vandalism. "

What you fail to realize is that rehab doesn't work for people who don't want it. Period. "

" Yes, it's true...this convicted felon (parolee) is innocent until proven guilty. Do not expect the state to set up any re-entry program in the near future, but instead you will see a rise in crime rate when the governor starts granting early releases for parolees. Great job by the police...by the way, have the car vandals been caught yet? "

" The gentleman "borrowed" our truck so add that to his list of adventures. We got it back in less than perfect condition Thursday. This is the fourth incident of crime we have personally experienced this past year after living in Napa for over 30 years without a single incident. Times are changing. "
